Lynx has always been viewed by those around her as a bit of a walking contradiction. She is about as happy as a person can be, always cheerful and positive. There is never a moment that she isn't trying to look at the bright side of things. She is as friendly as they come and could make fast friends with just about any one she meets. The only issue however, is that for every bit jovial she is, Lynx is equal parts an agent of pure chaos. With many being completely fooled by her abilities despite her cheerful disposition.
When Lynx was a "youngin'", growing up in the same area as Huck. Things weren't always the most stable but as an adult, looking back Lynx never felt she had a bad childhood. Her fondest memories are of her and her mother watching various western movies and shows. At an early age she was certain she wanted to grow up and be a sheriff just like her Mother happened to be. Dreaming of being a hero and keeping the peace, Lynx took extensive notes from the movies she watched to inform her knowledge of the responsibilities of the law. As a teenager, Lynx would even go out of her way to learn as much about law as she could from a retired lawyer who happened to be living nearby. Everything really was shaping up for Lynx to become the exact person she always wanted to be. Before long, her Mother was teaching her how to handle firearms, and even let her hold her two family heirloom revolvers. They felt perfect.
Finally the day would arrive that Lynx had waited her whole life for. Her Mother announced her retirement and that she would pass on the responsibilities of the job to her Daughter. So at long last, for a brief moment, Lynx sat in her office chair, at her station. She took it all in as she looked around the office once occupied by her mother. It wasn't long however before she received her first call for a problem that needed to be resolved. The caller detailed that they heard screaming from their neighbors house, and when Lynx arrived at the scene, the front door was left slightly open. She slowly entered, and she could feel a wave of adrenaline flow through her body. She wasn't sure if anyone was still in the home, and walked as quietly as she could throughout the house, before clearing each room. Everything appeared to be as clean as could be, with no signs of distress. That was until at the other side of the house, by the back door, a door frame had damage marks on it, from what Lynx deduced to be some kind of axe. She could only assume that someone was indeed attacked in this home but that both parties must have fled.
She intended to investigate more, until she received another call about a developing situation nearby. It involved what appeared to be an angry father, talking with some kind of lawyer from a nearby city. The lawyer claimed the father's son was being tried in court for threatening the public with a shotgun. At which point the disgruntled father pulled out his own shotgun. Once more, at that point another wave of adrenaline overwhelmed Lynx. She could watch all the movies, study all the laws, but nothing could quite prepare her mentally for times like this, when her life could end with the pull of a trigger. At that moment, Lynx panicked, and shut her eyes, spun around as she drew her revolvers and fired them off blindly. Upon running out of ammunition, Lynx opened her eyes to find neither of the two people standing there anymore. She thought to herself, "Huh, they must not have needed me after all!". So she would proudly twirl her two firearms, blowing non-existent smoke from both barrels and say: "Court adjourned." Walking away confidently into the sunset. The father had retreated back inside and was unharmed, the lawyer hid behind a nearby tree, but they got him...
Lynx would continue on her merry way, as she went from situation to situation, completely ready to take control of the scenario, only for her to become too overwhelmed by it all in the moment, causing her to blindly fire randomly. Each time she would open her eyes to find everyone gone, and she was convinced it was her expert abilities in peacekeeping that any and all disputes she encountered resolved themselves after she arrived. It did not take very long at all for people in the area to become accustomed to the new sheriff. Any time a dispute needed settled, someone would simply call the Sheriff and everyone would start running immediately. Surprisingly enough, this actually caused crime rates to plummet in the area. As now known throughout the land, the new sheriff was in town, and she meant business.
Eventually however this became a problem, no crime or even personal disputes were happening anymore. Lynx began to spend days at a time just sitting idly in her office. With so much time to kill, she watched on a screen in her office, battles going on with an Arena in a city far from where she was. She thought if she was as good as she was with her guns as she is at keeping the peace. That perhaps she could bring some of that prize money in to help those she is sworn to protect to improve their lives even more. But she also knew that if she left, things could easily descend into chaos. She then asked her twin sister Serval to dress in her uniform, and to become a deputy sheriff sitting in the office while Lynx was away. Seeing it as an easy enough job she agreed to do so. Nobody could tell that it wasn't her at that Sheriff desk.
So Lynx set out and made it to registration for the Arena. She arrived at a time when it was late into the team making process for the then upcoming Grand Ball Cup team tournament. Lynx was then paired up with another combatant in need of a teammate, and his name was Trent. Who Lynx could not look in the eyes for longer than a second or so at a time. His energy was very intense to be around and unnerving at that. He never spoke, and had his nailgun nailed directly into his hand, and it gave Lynx very intense fear and anxiety being around him. But she knew what she had to do and did her best to work alongside him. Their team would not make it very far and thus, Lynx had to stick around longer and register for the Season 4 Boss Gauntlet. Where she would run into a mighty tall and muscular looking woman holding a cannon. All Lynx could say upon meeting her was a stunned, Wow. Sunny laughed, something she hadn't done in a long time. They introduced themselves to one another, and quickly the two began conversing about their shared interest in bouncy ammunition. From there, the pair agreed to form a team, and after the addition of Marina, Lynx found herself in the presence of two strong and powerful women who she looked up to both literally and metaphorically. Ready now more than ever for what lies below in the Gauntlet.
There is nothing that brings Lynx more joy quite like what she lovingly calls, blasting. Lynx fires her two revolvers on either side of her, completely at random and independently of one another, needing to reload each one after 6 shots respectively. Each bullet does 6 damage.
Each of the bullets fired by Lynx can bounce off a wall one time before being destroyed by whatever it touches next. During Boss Battles, bullets can bounce up to 2 times.
After reloading one of her revolvers, Lynx has a chance to throw her other revolver into the air and fan the hammer on the revolver she's holding, firing all six shots in near back-to-back succession before catching the thrown gun and continuing to fire as normal.
