Huck was brought up in the middle of nowhere, within his small family. Being in the middle of nowhere, the Heyuck family resorted to various firearms to keep themselves safe from the many predators that lurked in the woods surrounding their home. Huck's firearm of choice was a shotgun he would hold near and dear to himself. As he grew up, he would find there was no problem that couldn't be solved by firing it. Something large chasing after him to try and kill him? Shoot it with the shotgun. Someone arguing with you over something? Shoot the shotgun elsewhere for intimidation, right at them for an instant argument win. Trying to tear down that fence along the perimeter of the land and it's giving you a hard time? Shotgun.
One day however, Huck would be required by his family to go out into the far away city to acquire more necessary items, materials and other things for their survival. This would result in a hefty amount of culture shock for Huck, as he walked the streets of this unknown city to him, each and every person he passed looked scared out of their minds and he couldn't seem to tell why. Eventually he pointed his shotgun, still in hand, directly at one of those individuals passing and asked "Why's everyone so scared for?". The person screamed at the top of their lungs and ran, causing a huge panic as everyone else began to run as well. Before he knew it, he was surrounded by police, and told to drop the shotgun. Huck however could not ever do such a thing to his beloved shotgun and thus said. "I cain't. I simply cain't do it."
This response was not received very well and the next thing Huck knew, he was being beaten senseless, and shoved into a patrol car. After being brought to the local station, Huck was booked on several counts of terrorizing the public while armed with a weapon, directly threatening individuals with said weapon, as well as disobeying police orders and also just having the weapon itself. Huck did not understand a single thing that was going on, as being from where he was, he had never really interacted with "The Law" before. Many months would pass as Huck was kept in jail and awaited his trial. When the day finally arrived, the courtroom would be filled with people, as Huck looked around and saw all kinds of people he had never seen before in his life. At some point during the trial, Huck would be asked to stand before the jury, and to hold his shotgun just as he did that day, as the prosecution looked to imply Huck's guilt via his body language during the incident. He would be handed his gun once more, and he would instantly check to see if it was loaded. Much to the concern of the courtroom itself, the Judge assured everyone that the gun had no ammunition in it. Huck then pressed his finger to a hidden side compartment on the gun, which dispensed two shells that were loaded by Huck faster than anyone had ever seen.
Now with a loaded shotgun, Huck immediately ran through the courtroom audience, ensuring the police in the room would not fire at him, as he ran as fast as he could from the courthouse. Huck would not stop running forward and away from the city until he just so happened to run into a lone log cabin within the woods. He would knock upon the door, hoping for a place to hide for the time being, when a man opened the door with a woodcutting axe at the ready. Huck meanwhile, still had his shotgun ready as well. The two looked at one another, as each slowly lowered their weapon. The man asked "Can I help you?". Huck would be invited in as he would explain his situation, and the man would introduce himself as Flint. A man living alone out in the woods with only his axe as his companion.
Flint, despite being an outdoorsman, is very clean and well kept. He would notice as he looked over Huck that he seemed very dirty and haggard. Thus he demanded that if Huck were to stay there for the time being that he get himself cleaned up. Such pristine accommodations was not something Huck was used to as he did much of his bathing in the "swimmin' hole" back home. But once he was finished, Flint would then offer to help with cutting his hair, and cleaning up his overall appearance. Eventually, Flint would have Huck looking far less like someone who had just been through the past few days that he had been, and then a knock was heard at the door.
The police were searching for a particular man who they described as looking quite dirty and armed with a shotgun. Requesting everyone present in the house, Flint summoned a nervous Huck to the door, who by now looked like an almost different person, and was dressed entirely differently, thanks to Flint. The officer looked at the two, then back at Flint, who gave a little wink towards the officer, who then determined nothing to be out of the ordinary, and left.
Huck would end up staying with Flint for many days, which turned into weeks, as the two grew closer to one another. Huck enjoys the time spent with Flint as well as learning all kinds of things he never knew about the world before. Flint not only enjoyed the company, but something about "taming" someone who seemed as wild as Huck attracted Flint. So after enough time had passed and the heat from Huck's escape died down, he would fully move in with Flint, as they would become committed partners to one another fully.
This still however left them needing to be able to support their lifestyle monetarily. When Huck would eventually come across a flier for a new battle Arena opening in a city nearby, he would try it out at first alone, before determining the pay to be well worth it enough that Huck would invite Flint to try and become part of the roster. Both would successfully make it into the Season 3 Grand Ball Cup, under the team name, Them Country Fellas. Later, the duo would take on a third member for their Season 4 team, Rural Ravagers. That team member exists in the form of Trent. Who to this day, has never actually spoken a word to either of the two, but has existed around them fighting like everyone else.
Huck's shotgun fires 12 pellets per shot, each dealing 4 damage. The pellets scatter outward the farther they travel, making point-blank shots particularly devastating.
Like other ranged balls, Huck slowly angles his shotgun toward his opponent to maximize damage potential.
