Manderly puts up a good fight regardless of the odds stacked against them. They got their career started when they joined a construction group alongside a couple other current competitors. On the surface, many people are confused as to how or why Manderly of all people would be part of a construction group, considering their main tool of choice are land mines. Their utilization of them however allows for swift and clean demolitions of any building they needed to destroy. Like the other members of the group, Manderly went on their own way when the group disbanded due to technological advancements removing the need for the group's services. After the group's dissolution Manderly would go on to work for a military cleanup group. Carefully maneuvering around fields of old planted mines, and utilizing their knowledge to disarm them. Things went on this way for quite some time, before eventually Manderly received word that some of her former coworkers would be signing up for some new fighting arena. While not much of a fighter, Manderly found themselves not enjoying the boring mundane nature of disarming land mines, and instead opted for heading to the Arena for a more explosive and interesting experience.
For a while, Manderly struggled against opponents and more often than not was on the receiving end of a great many losses. During the Season 3 Grand Ball Cup, Manderly would team up with Cannon user Sunny, who was one of the original three to register as combatants for the Arena when it opened. With Sunny's wisdom and teachings, Manderly figured out how to upgrade their mines to launch cluster bits of shrapnel, improving their lethality significantly. Now more than ever, they are ready for a fight.
Manderly's mine layer allows them to place up to 7 mines in the arena at once. After a 1 second arming period, any opponent that makes contact with a mine triggers an explosion dealing 11 damage.
Like certain other ranged balls, Manderly turns their mine layer to loosely face the opponent before launching mines in their direction.
