Elyxis is a Demigoddess, known by many names, some call her the Warding Moon, others call her the Blazing Sun. While some simply look up into the night sky at the stars above, and think of her. Despite her status as a deity, Elyxis was not born into this godhood. Many years ago, she was simply a mortal warrior whose specialty was in using throwable weapons, more particularly the chakram. Elyxis spent her young adult years training daily with her weaponry, and before long she had surpassed her Masters and obtained a total understanding of her craft. However, this was not enough for her. Elyxis would continue studying the ways of wizardry and magic in an attempt to enhance her abilities. She herself would actually pioneer the idea of combining physical weaponry with magic. Spending years training and learning to become the strongest in the universe.
To gain even more strength and knowledge, Elyxis sought out a woman who was known to have direct access to some sort of magic. Assuming such knowledge being passed on to her would prove beneficial, Elyxis met with the woman and implored her to bestow her magic and knowledge upon her and that she would do whatever it took. What it actually took however, was something far greater than Elyxis had ever imagined. The woman lifted up a piece of cloth she had fixed to her eye, revealing some kind of creature writhing around. Eventually it crawled out of the woman's eye socket and onto her hand. In her other hand she produced what looked like some sort of glowing rock. "The Stars will lead you to the Truth…This was always meant for you." The stardust was then crushed in her hand, and spread across the creature. Now coated in this special stardust, it swiftly burrowed straight into the eyes of Elyxis.
She however would not go down without fighting. Despite losing her vision suddenly, Elyxis maintained her composure through the pain and attempted to remove the parasite, however her efforts were fruitless and she would soon lose consciousness. When she would awaken later on, she found that she was alone. Not only that but she felt completely different. The first thing she thought of was the parasite and without even moving a muscle, the mere thought of extracting the parasite alone caused a small star to enter into where her eyes were, eradicating the parasite immediately. Elyxis would then find her vision returning, as her lack of eyes began to be compensated for by her own body. Which with her new found vision, she could now see looked quite different. Her skin was a blue color, and she could feel power unlike anything she ever felt before coursing through her. She would look up at the sky above and she could feel every star out there.
So as fate would have it, Elyxis would ultimately achieve her goal of becoming the strongest warrior around. None could amount to her celestial power, and before long she would come to realize the error of her ways. She sought to do battle with great warriors of equal power. But now, even the strongest lone mortal proved no match for her. To those around her during the rather primitive time, they began to see her as a Demigoddess, and soon enough legend and lore began to quickly develop around her existence, forcing her into hiding. Despite this, knowledge of her quickly spread and she became widely known as having created the day and night cycle, and for adorning the sky with the stars above. Eventually Elyxis decided she should play into the role cast upon her in the absence of being able to fight others. So she relocated herself to the vastness of space above, and spent eons creating and destroying stars and other celestial bodies within the universe.
Despite the cosmic proportions in which she dealt, Elyxis couldn't seem to shake the thought from her mind of wanting to return to a simpler time when she wasn't a godly being. So every so often, she would leave behind extra little traces of her existence. In doing so, the eventual increase in human knowledge and intellect, resulted in mortals conjuring ways to directly bring Elyxis back to them, summoning her back to the mortal world she came from. Many would go on to successfully summon her but all would fail to defeat her in battle. She began to grow tired of this same routine, as it presented the same issue of no one being able to match her level of ability and skill. Then along came a man by the name of Al.
Al, much like Elyxis, seeks greater strength through training and finding tougher opponents to test himself against, and after learning about Elyxis through his own studies, Al would complete the ritual to summon her. Within no time at all, an already impatient Elyxis engaged in battle with Al and despite being demolished quite quickly, Al would put up the greatest fight against Elyxis in many years. As a reward, Elyxis decided she would spare Al's life and instead leave him with a "gift". She would then disappear from sight, leaving behind a celestial stardust creation in the form of a mortal baby. Al was quite confused by this, but it took just one look at Luna for Al to understand what he must do. This would then make Luna an anchor to the mortal world for Elyxis, where Al now knows that should he fail to protect Luna, the consequences will be dire.
The Arena, through a series of private and totally ethical investigations, managed to discover these summoning rituals ourselves. We found that Elyxis would make the perfect candidate for the Boss Gauntlet, and so she was summoned to the Arena for that exact purpose. At first she was very unhappy. However, The Arena explained that she would be made to fight a series of teams who were hellbent on destroying her and she quickly changed her mind, gladly accepting the situation. She did however demand an unlimited supply of lemons. For what purpose, The Arena is unsure, but such a demand is no issue. In her downtime she is often either training herself to this day, or resting in mid air, floating in her large Crescent Moon Shield, which she will often modify into a floating bed of sorts. After sending in a lone Arena Official for comments and feedback, Elyxis states that she is enjoying her time here, and that she is eager to see what the teams have to offer.
Elyxis uses The Sun, The Moon and The Stars to create three distinct phases fighting her, cycling between them until her final phase begins. Before any of that, however, teams must first survive the Star Trial to earn the right to fight her at all.
Trios must first endure the Star Trial to prove their worthiness to fight Elyxis. The Star Trial is a thirty second intro phase in which each member of the team must try to avoid being hit by stars flying in from any direction across the screen. The amount of stars, and the patterns they take, increase in speed, difficulty to dodge and damage over the trial. Stars come in three sizes, dealing 2, 4 and 6 damage each. If the team survives the trial, Elyxis will enter the chamber to begin the fight.
Elyxis starts this phase by allowing the team 10 seconds to attack her to test their strength, afterward she equips her Lunar Shield "The Moon", and rises upward and out of sight. After a few seconds, Elyxis will come crashing down to the ground, doing 50 damage to anything in her path. Should a team member be unfortunate enough to be on the ground AND under The Moon as it hits the ground, it will do 100 damage. After 3 Moon Slams, Elyxis will allow the team another moment to attack before she equips her next weapon.
Once this phase begins, Elyxis equips The Sun, a chakram that is actually just a highly condensed star shaped into a chakram. The Sun rotates around Elyxis doing 9 contact damage until she throws it, at which point it will bounce around the arena dealing 9 damage to anyone it hits, with a chance to inflict the burning status effect to the victim. The Sun will not return on its own or have its movement affected by hitting team members, becoming accessible again only after Elyxis catches it on her own. During this entire phase, Elyxis is able to be attacked for normal damage. After 250 damage is dealt to her or 1 minute passes, the phase will end and Elyxis will transition into the next phase.
During this phase, Elyxis will move to the center of the arena and begin creating "The Stars". Elyxis will create 5 stars stationed around herself. The Stars deal no damage and have 25 HP. For every Star that Elyxis has, they will create a Star Clone: a smaller, 10 HP version of a random team member. Stars will continuously spawn Star Clones to replace any that are destroyed. Destroying a Star will stop clones from spawning from it, though this does not destroy any clones it already spawned that are still alive. During this phase Elyxis can still take damage while stationary, but she takes 50% decreased damage.
Elyxis will cycle through Phases 1 through 3 until the conditions for her final phase are met.
Once Elyxis reaches 50 HP, she will enter her final phase, and proceed to heal herself back to full HP. She will position herself near the center of the chamber, and begin creating a black hole. The team then has a limited amount of time to finish her off before the black hole is released, and begins dragging the team members into it. The lower the HP of the ball, the weaker they resist the pull. If everyone is dragged in, the team is defeated.
