Al, close friend of fellow Melee class, Bosh, and one of the original trio. Al rejects the notion of having extra abilities or powers and instead, upholds the value of consistency, and his superior swordsmanship. One of the older competitors in the arena, Al has seen the battle landscape change drastically since his humble beginnings, with newer and more complex weapons, powers and abilities at the disposal of new arrivals. Al looks to uphold the simplicity of his prime days. While still very much involved in the battles within the Arena.
For a long time now, Al has been seen leaving the site of the Arena quite often after his battles. Even his teammate for the Grand Ball Cup Season 3 Tournament, Otis, wasn't sure where Al actually went when he leaves. Unknown to everyone else, Al had been spending much of his down time long ago, doing research on a being known only in myth. A demigoddess whom he could truly put his skills to the test against. Convinced that this being was absolutely real, and eager more than anything to prove his own skills against the strongest opponents. Al followed each step he found perfectly to summon the deity, and eventually, he succeeded. One starry night, Al completed the ritual to summon her, and before long, the demigoddess known as Elyxis, stood before Al. Who immediately challenged her to a duel. Elyxis however was too focused on adjusting to a more mortal coil, a feeling she had not felt for many many years untold. After the brief period of adjustment, she turned to Al, who was still challenging her, and she accepted. The fight however, was quicker than anticipated and Al soon found himself completely outclassed by the being he summoned. Prepared to die in this fight, Al looked up at the stars in the sky above as he lay on the ground, defeated, and he felt a certain peace he had not since felt in a long time. Even though Al anticipated these being his final moments, he heard strange noises as his eyes closed for what he assumed would be the final time.
After some hours however, Al awoke to find the deity gone, and in its place, was a baby. The last thing Al anticipated in fighting Elyxis was receiving a divine child in his defeat. Al at first was quite confused. But no sooner did he become confused did he realize what was happening. Elyxis left this baby with Al, and he knew in his mind, despite never meeting them before, that her name was Luna. Descending from Elyxis herself, Al felt that despite his reservations, it was clear that Luna was meant to be raised by Al, even if not his own daughter biologically. So, he set out on his own once more with the child in tow, raising her for many years alone. Eventually, Al would confide in Otis, that his leaving so often had directly to do with him going back to Luna and continuing to raise and train her in his down time. Training her in the way of the shield, similar to that of his good friend, Otis. The shield given to Luna however, is much different from that of Otis, as the shield she wields is also of divine origin, appearing alongside Luna when Al first woke up after the fight. Now, Al intends to form a team for Season 4 alongside his adoptive daughter, and a certain extra someone who overheard the details of his fight with Elyxis, intrigued at the possibility of meeting this deity herself.
