Chutz, the first and only of his kind. Created by an aspiring scientist who wanted to make the perfect robotic body guard. Chutz only ever knew his creator by the name of Pah. But, despite being an entirely mechanical being, Pah only ever treated him like a child he never had. Showing him love, kindness and empathy. Because of this Chutz was able to learn and grow as time passed with little in the way of issues or problems. He learned how to help and protect others and harnessed his primary ability to do so.
Chutz receives the physical force from attacks, and converts the energy into harnessed fuel for his own use. Utilizing the energy from incoming attacks, he is able to expand his body, and become a sort of iron wall. Perfectly engineered not only to defend those Chutz wishes to protect but to also unleash counter attacks that grow in strength relative to his size. Once a battle is over however, he can release this stored energy, and shrink back down to his usual size.
One day while helping Pah in the lab they lived and worked in, the usual experiments being run to try and find a cure to a particular disease that day were interrupted when a loud explosion was heard elsewhere in the facility. The next thing Chutz knew, the pair were sent flying elsewhere in the room, when another explosion rocked the entire lab. After the smoke cleared, he could barely make anything out amidst the rubble and dust, desperately calling out for his creator, and searching the rubble. It wasn't until Chutz turned around, and discovered his creator now held by the neck of a terrifying individual, floating in the air before them. A huge horrific smile spread across the distinctly green face of this person, who looked like someone Chutz had seen before somewhere, yet somehow was different. Regardless, the scene before him sent Chutz into a blind rage, a feeling he had never quite engaged with up until this point. Growing far more massive and stronger than ever without the need for an attacker's energy. The anger created enough energy to power him up to a brand new level, and just as he intended to deliver a decisive blow to this villain floating in front of him, he watched as they lifted their other hand, and with one swift motion, flicked the giant Chutz away like a bug. Sending him straight into a nearby wall, causing him to slowly shrink back, unable to do anything as all he could do was watch, as the only person he truly knew and loved, was slaughtered then and there.
The dust would settle, and Chutz would eventually reboot, awakening to find the entire lab destroyed and not a single sign left of Pah. He would spend days sifting through the rubble, trying to find anything he could, desperate for this not to be the reality he was just left with, unexplained and out of nowhere. Eventually he would come across a shattered frame holding an old picture, it was of Chutz just after being activated for the first time, and Pah holding him up. Turning the picture around, it had a note written on it that said "My pride and joy." Despite his mechanical nature, Chutz could feel the overwhelming surge of grief hit him harder than any attack he would absorb the energy of. Then, he decided to himself that he would do all he could to inherit the knowledge of his creator, and carry on his legacy. Despite the untold destruction, Chutz was able to find numerous different articles, letters and other documents, detailing a story he never knew about his own existence.
For many years, Pah had attempted to create Chutz in various different capacities, but each time it would end in some kind of failure. Those around Pah would remark that he was insane for thinking he could pull something like that off, creating life from mechanical parts, let alone life that could successfully defend others. Yet in an act of defiance to what he had been told, Pah would try again and again to finish what he set out to do. The fruits of all this labor, resulting in Chutz himself. Then almost as if fate was intending for it to happen, Chutz would find a note from Pah, addressed to him directly. Reading through it, he would learn that the letter was written specifically to be read should something happen to Pah. In the letter, Pah told Chutz to go out into the world, to live, and to love. To spread the kindness he always taught him was right and just. To always come to the defense of those that need it, and to never stop growing.
Eventually, word would spread of a giant robotic being going around stopping crimes, helping others and making a name for themselves as somewhat of a hero. Arena Officials would hear of this, and in looking for combatants to star in the very first season, would send a request to Chutz to join. Seeing this as a chance to meet some new people, and to hone his skills further, he accepted.
Chutz would take part in several fights over the time he was staying at the Arena as a fighter. Yet he found that it was still incredibly difficult for him to make any connections to others, as each time he would try, all he could think about was that day. That is, until he met the time controlling Mundus. The two first met during their initial fight with one another, during which Mundus quickly dispensed with Chutz in a blink of an eye before he could even react. However, after their fight, the two would shake hands and look into one another's eyes, and instantly something clicked. Despite the fight they had, they felt the synergy between them immediately and a sense of familiarity with one another despite never meeting before this, and the two decided they would form a team for the Grand Ball Cup Tournament. Despite Mundus' more aggressive and cold demeanor, Chutz counters this perfectly with a very calm and warm disposition. Since their fight, the two haven't been seen without the other somewhere nearby, and many speculate they are in some kind of relationship though Chutz himself says things between them are purely platonic in nature, and that they just enjoy each other's company. Neither of them though seem to understand the true reason why they were so drawn to one another.
As the two prepared for the next Season at the same time as preparing for the play offs of the Grand Ball Cup, they were approached by another pair of competitors, The Twins, Tyna and Dillo. Mundus wasn't too receptive to the duo, while Chutz saw this as a perfect opportunity to take them in, and train them to be a far better pair of fighters. While skeptical, Mundus agreed to this only because Chutz was so adamant about it. The Twins would join the duo and form the Boss Gauntlet team, Space Times 2. Now Chutz is finally starting to find a happiness he hasn't felt in a long time.
Unarmed use their bodies primarily to do damage. Any contact with an unarmed body does damage to another ball, with unarmed collisions rewarding the faster ball with doing damage.
Chutz grows slightly each time he takes damage. Each growth increases his damage output by 1, starting from a base of 4 damage per hit. The longer Chutz stays in a fight and absorbs punishment, the harder he hits back.
All Unarmed have a passive speed gain, that resets upon taking or making a hit.
