Trafik was walking down the street one day, when he came across a traffic light rooted to the ground. It was a completely normal day, and looking at something so mundane and normal likely wouldn't have provoked such a reaction in most. But when he looked up and saw that light click red. It would evoke such a feeling of dread and anxiety that he then decided to rip the light straight from the ground with a strength that surprised even him. He stood there, holding the traffic light in his hands as thoughts raced in his mind. Scene after scene would replay over and over in Trafik's head as the figures of authority in his life would tell him to stop after everything he would try to do. Trafik always felt the heavy weight of expectations placed upon him even from an early age and very quickly those expectations would cause the development of a sort of life of defiance from a young Trafik.

This would all come to a head when just after his eighteenth birthday, he finally would work up the courage to tell his family that he was gay. But unfortunately for Trafik, this was only met once more with him being told mid sentence. "Stop. No. I don't want to hear this, you are no-". Those would be the final words he would ever hear from his family. For so long all he was ever told was consistent affirmations of negativity. Now he was being told he could not love who he wanted to love. Trafik would then spend multiple years trying to make a life for himself, and while he was able to scrape by, things would often get pretty rough between constantly changing living arrangements.

Trafik would later meet a man just slightly older than him. He said his name was Bates, and at the time he had just recently gone through a divorce. Trafik then asked why that happened, especially if they had just had a child together. To which Bates would explain that although he loves his daughter dearly, he had not been with his wife for very long prior to getting married and having a child. Things felt very rushed, and by a certain point he began to feel as though something fundamentally wasn't working out with their relationship. After a long enough time of talking, Bates would invite Trafik back to his home. Where they would decide to get to know each other better. Eventually, months would pass and the two ultimately fell hard for one another. With Bates finally fully realizing that he had the capacity within him for loving whoever he pleased. Rather than someone he felt he had to.

Then, we return to the moment everything changed. Still standing there with the traffic light in hand, Trafik found himself surrounded by police who viewed him as holding a weapon. The next thing he knew, Trafik would swing the light in a circle with intense speed, knocking each officer away from him. As he fled with the light in hand, he noticed that those he hit with the light seemed frozen in place. As he got far enough away, eventually the light turned green and from a distance he could see them once more able to move. Unfortunately however, this act made Trafik a wanted criminal. With just one opportunity to do so left, Trafik would leave a note at the home of Bates. Before disappearing entirely for over twenty years.

Trafik would spend the next two decades hopping between various towns until word of the Traffic Light Terror would spread a little too close for comfort. Often while in these places he would make money by assisting with directing local traffic. Many would likely question why Trafik decided to carry with him such a giant, heavy object. But for him, it wasn't a matter about what made sense to others, it was about reclaiming control over his life. To no longer be told what he can or can not do. Every night, he would lay awake restlessly until eventually succumbing to exhaustion and falling asleep, thinking of Bates.

One day though, Trafik would receive a call, and a familiar voice was heard over the phone. Shocked at how he was able to find him, Trafik was overjoyed to hear Bates' voice after so long. Despite his excitement, he noticed that Bates was sounding quite serious, and that things were dire enough that he felt the need to call. Though as much as it pained him, Trafik would tell Bates that he could not come out of hiding or else he would be surely jailed. But after talking with Arena Officials, and with a little assistance from the courts, Trafik's record was cleared entirely on the condition that he would join the fight. Seeing this as an opportunity to rekindle a flame that has long since been extinguished, Trafik would head to the Arena to prepare himself for love, and war.
