► Background

MISHA Gatling is the real deal. While the Arena fully intended on creating a clone of him, his grandchild Gunther informed the Arena that the legendary war veteran was still very much alive and kicking. Born in the northernmost reaches of the planet, the childhood of MISHA was spent largely in a very inhospitable region. Food was scarce, and every day was practically a fight for survival, and thus the family resorted to heavy weapons to do their dirty work, mostly in the form of variously sized miniguns. Even the smallest child was given their own tiny minigun to practice with before moving on to the real thing. To make matters worse, a neighboring nation at the time decided they wanted to forge ahead and conquer the land that MISHA and his family lived on. Because there was no governing body over the region, it being a largely barren wasteland, this opposing nation figured there would be little in their way from expanding their territory. But they were wrong.

MISHA happens to be part of a relatively well known family these days, but their fame is largely due in part to MISHA himself. The Gatling family name became known nearly worldwide on one fateful day, when MISHA's life would change forever. MISHA watched as an entire army began to approach, and determined to defend his home, his land and his family, MISHA finished assembling his life's work up to that point, the Megagun, and braced himself for the coming onslaught, knowing full well he would either successfully defend his home singlehandedly from an armed invasion or die trying. He ushered the youngest of them into hiding, while commanding the eldest of the family to hold the line. At the very front however, stood MISHA tall and proud, unveiling his newest invention.

Many have seen MISHA in action within the Boss Gauntlet, but even he himself will admit that those performances are not of a MISHA in his prime. That particular MISHA began firing his Megagun at the incoming army, and as they had zero expectations of resistance, heavy casualties followed. Soon enough the rest of them began to retreat in fear as the might of MISHA's Megagun tore through the entire force alongside the help of the other's minigun fire, and after a few bloody hours, the fighting was finally over. Or at least, that is what they thought.

When the gunfire finally ceased and the silence within the crimson snow enveloped the Gatling family, MISHA's mind suddenly turned back to the family's children who he had hidden away prior to the fighting. He rushed to the spot he had them at, and pulled the door back as hard as he could. What he saw would haunt him forever. The room was completely empty.

All anyone knew was that somehow, one of the soldiers had to have made it behind their wall of gunfire. They had no idea where the children were or about their wellbeing. Many began to panic, while MISHA in particular just continued to stare blankly at the empty room before him. He may have lived. He may have defended his home. But he was beaten. There was nothing more important to MISHA than the future, and providing a better one for the children in his family. More importantly than that, one such child of his was included in that room, his only son, Walter.

Suddenly, MISHA snapped. His vision turned red with rage, as he stormed from their home, alone. Armed with his Megagun, MISHA kept repeating to himself over and over as he began to chase down the retreating soldiers that he would not stop, would not rest, and wouldn't so much as blink until those children, and his son, were back in the safety of his care. He followed them all the way back to their base of operations, and within just hours, the entire facility was turned upside down, and almost every last member of the army was slaughtered in the process. Until MISHA finally turned his Megagun on the person he was looking for, a warden for the prison beneath the base. Trying to beg for his life, the warden explained that the children were simply taken to the prison, and he handed him the key to their cell. After taking it and deciding to spare the man's life for doing so, in that moment of lapsing judgement within MISHA, the warden took out a knife and stabbed MISHA's left eye. It would be the last thing the warden ever did.

Moving through the pain, and trying to keep from losing too much blood from the wound to his head, MISHA kept pushing through until he finally found the cell that held his family within. Releasing them before finally passing out from a combination of exhaustion and blood loss. The next thing MISHA could recall, he awoke back home, the remains of his eye now bandaged. He would later learn that it was the children that worked together to bring him back home, though they all said it wouldn't have been possible without him rescuing them. MISHA was then reunited with his pride and joy, Walter, who due to his efforts, would go on to raise MISHA's grandson, Gunther, in the same family business of minigunning like the rest of them.

The notoriety MISHA gained from his heroism was not lost on the world, as the group that MISHA took down was known worldwide for their cruelty and conquest of weaker nations. Due to this positive reception, the family was able to make a new home for themselves in a much more safe and hospitable area, where the whole family was welcomed with open arms as heroes. MISHA in particular was beloved.

Many years have since passed and MISHA is now an older gentleman, who may be a little slower physically, but still stronger than most that meet him. He was asked to join the Arena as a boss in the Boss Gauntlet, and agreed to do so only if he could bring Gunther's little cousins with him, Dima, Vanya and Sasha, while also ensuring that neither of the three could be harmed in any way. Which the Arena obliged. Now he is eager to test the skills of the teams that come down to face him, and even more excited to see his grandson whom he cares for deeply, just as the rest of his family.

► Abilities & Traits
Megagun
Weapon

MISHA's Megagun is his proudest invention, a new iteration on the minigun. No one else has the strength to wield it but him, and even then it's only stable enough to fire for roughly 10 to 15 seconds before it explodes into bits and must be repaired. Each bullet fired deals 1 damage with no hitstop, but don't let the low damage number fool you.

The Gatlings
Active

Gunther's little cousins come out firing their little miniguns for 1 damage each hit. They only stay around long enough for MISHA to finish repairs on his Megagun.

Carbon Fiber Coating
Passive

MISHA has a carbon fiber coat of armor over him that reduces incoming damage by 25%. After MISHA takes 250 HP worth of damage, the armor breaks, leaving MISHA vulnerable to full damage amounts.
